Inspection work carried out by us using our robotic platform in a dryer of a US-based dairy company, revealed that extensive repairs were necessary to guarantee an extended life for this important asset. Thanks to the IRATA-certified welders of Schwartz NDT, we were able to ensure that our client had his asset back in excellent shape within a minimum time span.
At Invert we conduct robotic inspections of our clients’ assets, as well as doing the necessary repairs. But, with a growing client base, each with their own specific technology, assets and challenges, we also partner with professional companies like Swiss-based Schwartz NDT, so that we can meet client expectations to the fullest.
Deal breaker: level of welding experience
Our client intended to use a local, US repair company, but none of the available companies fit their bill. So, they turned to us, to find them some professional and highly skilled welders. In fact, our inspection report had revealed the poor state of the dryer inspected and they realised that the necessary repair could only be done by professionals with the highest level of welding experience.
For us, partnering with Schwartz NDT was an obvious choice. Their rope access welders are highly qualified NDT technicians with a wealth of experience working on location the world over. Added benefit was that with rope access, repair work could be carried out far more quickly than when using traditional methods involving setting up scaffolding. This meant our client would be able to get his dryer up and running again considerably faster.
Schwartz NDT came in with two teams and based on our inspection report and the client’s repair priority list, managed to repair the asset in such a way that it was promptly back in service.
Partnering for mutual success
For us, a successful partnership equals true added value to all partners. Partnering with Schwartz NDT brings our clients the opportunity to have repairs on their worldwide assets carried out by some of the most skilled welders around.
